With CB and Peaked & Tuned:

The 10-meter amateur radios need to be modified to operate on the CB channels (11 meter band). We take care of this and also Peak & Tune the radio for maximum performance on transmit and receive. Depending on the model the 25-watt PEP radios will do 10 – 15 watts RMS and 40 – 60 watts PEP at 100% modulation.

Most of the radios advertised as 50-watts RMS, 150-watts PEP are set at 35 – 40 watts RMS from the factory. When Peaked & Tuned they will produce about 55 watts RMS and 200 – 225 watts PEP at 100% modulation. When our technicians do these modifications it has no adverse effect on the performance or life of the radio. The transmit audio will be clean and clear. We also go over the receive section to make sure it is operating at maximum performance. The Ranger, Galaxy and General radios retain their two-year factory warranty.
